How to add a SQL Server login (Enterprise Manager)

To add a SQL Server login

1. Expand a server group; then expand a server.
2. Expand Security, right-click Logins, and then click New Login.
3. In Name, enter a name for the Microsoft® SQL Server™ login.
4. Select SQL Server Authentication.
5. Optionally, in Password, enter a password.
6. Optionally:
   • In Database, click the default database to which the login is connected after logging into SQL Server.
   • In Language, click the default language in which messages are displayed to the user.
7. Confirm the password entered.
