The PagerAddress property specifies an e-mail address used to route SQL Server Agent operator notification.
object.PagerAddress [= value]
Part | Description |
---|---|
object | Expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list |
value | String specifying an e-mail address |
SQL Server Agent can dispatch notification to operators using an e-mail client. Third-party software and hardware can convert e-mail into an electronic page.
Indicate the operator’s paging address in the PagerAddress property to configure an operator for receipt of notification by pager. Set the PagerAddress property to an empty string to stop notification by pager. Use the PagerDays property, and related properties setting available hours, to control SQL Server Agent notification attempts for the referenced operator.
String
Read/write
HRESULT GetPagerAddress(SQLDMO_LPBSTR pRetVal);
HRESULT SetPagerAddress(SQLDMO_LPCSTR NewValue);
Note SQL-DMO strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference by using SysFreeString.
