CheckIdentityValues Method (SQL-DMO)

The CheckIdentityValues method verifies the integrity of all identity columns in tables of the referenced database.

Remarks

The CheckIdentityValues method is implemented by using the Transact-SQL DBCC CHECKIDENT statement with no optional arguments specified. The default behavior of the statement resets an identity value if the value supplying the next identity number is found to be less than the maximum value of data in the column. Restrictions on the default behavior apply. For more information, see DBCC CHECKIDENT.
