Storage Design Wizard

Helps you specify data storage and query performance options for the aggregations on a cube or partition.

For more information about data storage and aggregations, see Storing Cubes and Aggregations.

The Storage Design wizard appears when you expand the Cubes folder in the OLAP Manager tree view, right-click an existing cube, and then click Design Storage.

This wizard also appears when you expand the Partitions folder for an existing cube, right-click an existing cube partition, and then click Design Storage.

The Storage Design wizard has the following steps:

• Select the type of data storage for your cube or partition (MOLAP, ROLAP, or HOLAP).
• Design aggregations for your cube or partition based on aggregation storage size and query performance options.
• Save your aggregations.
• Process your cube or partition with the aggregations.
