Deleting Write-Back Data and Write-Disabling a Cube

You can delete the contents of a cube’s write-back table by using the Delete Write-Back Data dialog box.

Important When you delete the write-back data for a cube, all read/write permissions for the cube are disabled, and users will not be able to change displayed cube data. (Users with disabled read/write permissions will still be able to browse the cube.) Read permissions are not affected.

To delete write-back data for a cube and disable read/write permissions

1. In the OLAP Manager tree view, under a database, expand the Cubes folder.
2. Right-click the cube, point to Write-Back Options, and then click Delete Data.
3. In the Delete Write-Back Data dialog box, click Yes.
