Microsoft® SQL Server™ OLAP Services provides access to many of the server’s registry settings in the Properties dialog box. This dialog box appears when you right-click an OLAP server node in the OLAP Manager tree view and then click Properties.
The Properties dialog box provides the ability to optimize a server, getting the best performance possible from OLAP Services, while alleviating the dangers of editing the registry manually. You can also use the Properties dialog box to reset all options in the Properties dialog box to their default installation values.
The Properties dialog box contains options that control user interfaces, processing, server environment, query log operation, and add-in programs. You must open the dialog box from the server you want to administer in the OLAP Manager. To remotely administer a server, open the Properties dialog box from any server node in the OLAP Manager under that server or any editor that is editing an object from that server.
