How to map one or more source or destination columns to a global variable (DTS Designer)

To map one or more source or destination columns to a global variable

1. Click the Transformations tab.
2. Make sure that ActiveX Script is chosen as the transformation type.
3. If the columns are already mapped, select the desired Source table and Destination table mappings, and then click Delete.
4. Click the desired Source table or Destination table column names. (Whichever table columns you choose, make sure no columns in the other table are chosen. You can release columns for a table by clicking in a blank area of the table.)
5. In the ActiveX Script Transform Properties dialog box, enter your script in the selected language that describes the mapping between source or destination columns and one or more global variables.
