Select Relationship Phrasing

Phrasings are the way of expressing relationships between entities in English. When considering a phrasing type, select the phrasings that most closely reflect how users will ask their questions.

For example, customers buy products from stores is a verb phrasing that describes a relationship among the customers entity, products entity, and stores entity. It allows questions to be asked such as, “What customers bought WidgetX from Store #1?”

  1. On the English Query Semantic Objects tab, select Relationships and then right-click and select Insert Relationship, or double-click an existing relationship.
  2. On the Phrasings tab, click Add.
  3. In the Select Phrasing dialog box, select a phrasing type. If you want help understanding these different types, click Help.
