How to send a message to a currently connected user (Enterprise Manager)

To send a message to a currently connected user

1. Expand a server group; then expand a server.
2. Expand Management; then expand Current Activity.
3. Click Process Info. The current server activity is displayed in the details pane.
4. In the details pane, right-click a connection, and then click Send Message....
5. Enter the message in Message.
6. Optionally, select Using Hostname, and enter the computer name to send the message to a specific computer.

   Note It is not possible to send a message to a user when SQL Server Enterprise Manager is running on Windows 95/98.
