How to access the Query Designer to design a view (Enterprise Manager)
To access the Query Designer to design a new view
- Expand a server group; then expand a server.
- Expand Databases, then expand the database in which the view will be created.
- Right-click Views and right-click New View....
The Query Designer will open with all four view panes visible. To hide panes, see How to hide panes in the Query Designer (Enterprise Manager).
To access the Query Designer to design an existing view
- Expand a server group; then expand a server.
- Expand Databases, and then expand the database containing the view.
- Right-click the view, then select Design View.
The Query Designer will open with only the Results pane visible. To hide panes, see How to hide panes in the Query Designer (Enterprise Manager).
To access the Query Designer to see the data in a view
- Expand a server group; then expand a server.
- Expand Databases, then expand the database containing the view.
- Right-click the view, then select Return all Rows or Return Top....
