PivotTable® Service does not provide any user interface to view data. Custom applications and products offered by Microsoft and other vendors can use PivotTable Service to retrieve and manipulate multidimensional data, but must provide their own end-user interface. Common presentation formats include custom grid controls, cross-tabs, graphs, HTML tables, or other custom interfaces or controls.
You can create Active Server Pages (ASPs) to enable users to query cubes and view returned datasets with Web browsers. For more information, see Sample Web Programs.
Microsoft® SQL Server™ OLAP Services includes the MDX Sample Application, which provides a user interface for querying cubes with multidimensional expressions (MDX) and viewing the returned datasets.
