Viewing or Modifying Publication Properties

After you have created a publication, you can set several other publication properties:

• Description of the publication
• Tables to be included as articles
• Stored procedures to be included as articles
• Whether anonymous subscriptions are allowed
• Whether the publication can be received on the Internet
• Subscriptions to be included
• Format in which the data is published to Subscribers
• Rows to be excluded from articles (horizontal filtering)

After you have created the first subscription to a publication, you cannot change any properties that affect the publication schema, including:

• Removing articles
• Dropping columns

You must have either sysadmin or db_owner permissions to modify publication properties.
