How to enable TCP/IP or Multiprotocol (Enterprise Manager)

To enable the TCP/IP or Multiprotocol over TCP/IP

1. On the Start menu, point to Programs/Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and then click Server Network Utility.
2. In the General dialog box, click Add.
3. Select TCP/IP.
4. Enter the port number and proxy address provided by your network administrator.
5. Select Multiprotocol.
