How to set up a linked server (Enterprise Manager)

To set up a linked server

1. Expand a server group, expand a server, and then expand Security.
2. Right-click Linked Servers; then click New Linked Server.
3. On the General tab, specify the name of the server to add as a linked server.
4. Select a server type. If you select Other data source, you will have to specify provider properties.
