How to stop a virtual server (Failover)

To stop a virtual server

1. On the Start menu, point to Programs/Administrative Tools, and then click Cluster Administrator.
2. Expand Groups; then click the group containing SQL Server Virtual Server.
3. In the right pane, right-click the virtual server to stop, and then click Take Offline.
