How to set the query governor cost limit option (Enterprise Manager)

To set the query governor cost limit option

1. Expand a server group.
2. Right-click a server; then click Properties.
3. Click the Server Settings tab.
4. Under Server behavior, select or clear Use query governor to prevent queries exceeding specified cost.
5. In the box, specify a nonzero, nonnegative value that the query governor will use to disallow execution of any query that has a running length exceeding that value.
