How to generate removal or installation scripts

To generate replication removal or installation scripts

1. Choose a server on which to generate a replication script. This server must be configured for replication.
2. On the Tools menu, click Replication, and then click Generate Replication Scripts.
3. Choose the replication components to script and then select Disable or drop the selected components (to generate a removal script) or Enable or create the selected components (to generate an installation script).
4. Save the SQL file generated to the desired location.
5. Execute the replication removal or installation scripts on the server.
6. If you are using an installation script, use an editor to perform a search and replace on the installation script, thereby replacing all old server name references with the new virtual server name references. Then, execute the modified installation scripts.
