Deployment Checklist

You should complete the following tasks during the deployment phase:

• Create solid deployment diagrams that the administration team can leverage.
  
  
• Create event-sequence charts from actual observations, to help debugging.
  
  
• Create a test plan to add coverage for areas exposed in real use.
  
  
• Create and maintain a test bed to help solve problems encountered in the live site.
  
  
• Confirm that test results match success criteria generated from the projected usage profile.
  
  
• Create a reliability plan; deploy and test hardware.
  
  
• Create a security plan; deploy and test hardware.
  
  
• Create a backup plan to prevent loss of data.
  
  
• Create a plan for analyzing system performance and site usage.
  
  
• Create a plan for log handling, and other administrative tasks.
  
  
• Create a contingency plan.
