Update_No_Change = {Update|Uncheckout|Ask}

Example

Undoes check out of files that have not changed:

Update_No_Change = Uncheckout

Remarks

When you check in a file that has not changed since you checked it out, VSS has three options:

• Update the file.
  
  
• Undo the check out of the file.
  
  
• Ask you how to handle the file.

Because no changes have been made, the only difference between the first two cases is that checkin creates an entry in the file history with a comment but no change record; undo check out does not.

This variable can also be set in your SS.INI file by using the Check In Unchanged Files option that can be accessed from the Tools menu, by clicking Options, then selecting the General tab.
