Developers interested in writing Web IVR applications should examine Microsoft's Web Telephony Engine. Web Telephony is a platform for developing and running Web-based interactive voice response applications, ranging from simple IVR applications to complex, dual-access Internet applications that allow users to access a Web site by telephone as well as by computer. A Web Telephony application can be developed with any standard Web authoring technologies, including dynamic HTML,scripting languages, ActiveX controls, database access objects, and Active Server Pages.
