Once controls are in place, the Dialog editor offers a variety of ways to refine their positions.

Align controls on their center, horizontally or vertically

To align controls

  1. Select the controls you want to align.

  2. Make sure the correct dominant control is selected.

    The final position of the group of controls depends on the position of the dominant control. For more information on selecting the dominant control, see Selecting Controls.

  3. From the Layout menu, choose Align, and then choose one of the following alignments:

To align controls on their center, vertically or horizontally

  1. Select the controls you want to center.

  2. Make sure the correct dominant control is selected.

    The final position of the group of controls depends on the position of the dominant control. For more information on selecting the dominant control, see Selecting Controls.

  3. From the Layout menu, choose Align, and then choose Horiz. Center or Vert. Center.

To even the spacing between controls

  1. Select the controls you want to rearrange.

  2. From the Layout menu, choose Space Evenly, and then choose one of the following spacing alignments:

To center controls in the dialog box

  1. Select the control or controls you want to rearrange.

  2. From the Layout menu, choose Center In Dialog, and then choose one of the following arrangements:

To arrange push buttons along the right or bottom of the dialog box

  1. Select one or more push buttons.

  2. From the Layout menu, choose Arrange Buttons, and then choose one of the following arrangements:

    If you select a control other than a push button, its position is not affected.
