Use this dialog box to change Web application permissions that a machine or group of machines has for reading, writing, or creating items within the Web application. You can use this dialog box to control access to your Web application from specific machines.
This dialog box is available from the Computers tab of the Permissions dialog box if the Use unique permissions for this Web option is selected on the Settings tab of the Permissions dialog box.
Note This dialog box is not available if your master Web server is on an operating system using the File Allocation Table file system (FAT), such as Microsoft® Windows® 95, instead of Windows NT® File System (NTFS).
Displays the number specifying the Internet protocol (IP) address for the machine. The asterisk (*) indicates that the permissions apply to any machine that has the specified numbers in its IP address.
Browse this Web application
Select to specify that the machine is allowed to view the content of the Web application through a browser. By default, all machines have browse access to Web applications when they are created. The machine is not allowed to create a new project that points to this application.
Author this Web application
Select to specify that the machine is allowed to browse, open, and modify the Web application files, including adding or deleting content.
Administer this Web application
Select to specify that the machine is allowed to change permissions on the Web application and create new Web projects as well as browse, open, and modify the Web application files.
