The development environment includes an integrated Text editor to manage, edit, and print source files. Most of the procedures for using the editor will seem familiar if you have used other Windows-based text editors. In addition, Visual J++ has enhanced the Text editor with several new timesaving features such as statement completion, dynamic syntax checking, and two-way interaction between the Text editor and Class Outline — these are just a few of the services IntelliSense provides for Visual J++ developers. For more information and step-by-step procedures describing these features, see:
Most of the functionality of the environment's Text editor is the same regardless of the product you are using or type of project you're editing. Use the following table to determine what you want to do with the Text editor and then click the link to go to the related topics and procedures.
! WARNING Several topics in the following table refer to features and procedures applicable to more than one product and are not included in the Visual J++ online documentation. This will not prevent you from viewing these cross-product topics, however, when the location of these topics is displayed, they'll appear outside the Visual J++ table of contents.
