Starting the Visual Studio Analyzer RPC Listener Service

If you want to monitor Visual Studio Analyzer events from an application that generates events using the RPC interface, you must first start the RPC listener service on the server machine (the machine that is generating the events). This will work only on NT, because services are NT-specific. Follow these steps, which are the usual steps for starting any service under NT:

To start the Visual Studio Analyzer RPC Listener Service

1. Click Start.
   
   
2. Click Settings.
   
   
3. Click Control Panel.
   
   
4. Double-click Services.
   
   
5. Select Visual Studio Analyzer RPC bridge.
   
   
6. Click Start.

If you always want to run this service on this machine after a reboot, click Startup and select Automatic Startup Type.
