Administrative Tools Overview
Two key tools are available to help you customize and administer Internet Explorer on Windows 2000.
- If you are automating Setup for Windows 2000, you can specify custom settings for Internet Explorer. The Profile Manager in the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) helps you specify the settings needed for automated Setup.
- If you want to customize or administer Internet Explorer after deployment on Windows 2000, you can use Group Policy. With the Internet maintenance features, you can customize Internet Explorer. With the administrative template settings, you can prevent users from changing settings that you want to control.
