Gaining Access to Legacy Data

OLE DB data providers make it easy to access diverse legacy data sources from IIS 5.0. Data providers targeting legacy host environments include:

• OLE DB provider for DB2
• OLE DB provider for AS/400 and VSAM

This section describes how you can incorporate legacy file systems into your Web applications, by using a data provider to access AS/400 and VSAM files at the record level and move the data to the IIS 5.0 environment.
