6.1 Specifying Resolution Data
All printers support one or more horizontal and vertical resolutions for
raster graphics output. A resolution is an integer value specified in
dots-per-inch (dpi), which indicates the number of distinct dots that the
print head or ink-jet can apply along the x- or the y-axis.
The Diconix 150 Plus supports the following three resolutions:
X-resolution Y-resolution
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
80 96
160 96
320 96
The HP LaserJet IIP supports the following three resolutions:
X-resolution Y-resolution
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
75 75
150 150
300 300
The RESOLUTION dialog box contains controls which you use to specify
resolution data such as the text resolution, graphics resolution, color
capabilities at a given resolution, methods of sending blocks of graphics
data, and so on. The RESOLUTION dialog box is shown in the following
