CONFIG_APM

Sent to notify a driver of a power management event. The driver should determine the type of event and take appropriate action.

scfSubFunc
APM subfunction number. Can be one of these values.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_STANDBY Request for permission to change to standby operation.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_SUSPEND Request for permission to change to suspend operation.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_STANDBY_FAILED Standby request denied.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_SUSPEND_FAILED Suspend request denied.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_STANDBY_SUCCEEDED Standby request granted.
CONFIG_APM_TEST_SUSPEND_SUCCEEDED Suspend request granted.
CONFIG_APM_RESUME_STANDBY Standby operation resuming.
CONFIG_APM_RESUME_SUSPEND Suspend operation resuming.
CONFIG_APM_RESUME_CRITICAL Critical operation resuming.

In standby operation, all devices remain generally responsive although in a lower power state. In suspend operation, you should assume that power and state of the device may be lost.
