5.1.9 Cursor Origin
The Cursor Origin group box in the Paper Sizes dialog box contains four
controls which specify the cursor-origin coordinates for portrait and
landscape mode. These coordinates are specified in master units. By
default, the Microsoft Windows Universal Printer Driver aligns the cursor
origin with the intersection of the top and left unprintable regions. If it
is necessary to alter the origin for your printer, you must also check the
MD_USE_CURSOR_ORG box in the ModelData fGeneral dialog box. (Generally, it
is only necessary to set these values for printers that use a
page-description language such as the HP PCL printers.)
Diconix 150 Plus
For the Diconix 150 Plus printer, the default cursor origin is used for
both the portrait and landscape print modes; therefore, the four boxes in
the Cursor Origin control are empty.
HP LaserJet IIP
For the HP LaserJet IIP printer, the default cursor origin was used for
portrait mode; therefore, the Portrait X box contains the value specified
in the Left Unprintable Region box (68) and the Portrait Y box contains the
value specified in the Top Unprintable Region box (75). However, the
default cursor origin is not satisfactory for landscape mode. In this mode,
it is necessary to adjust the cursor origin in order to obtain the desired
output on the page. The Landscape X box contains the value 60 and the
Landscape Y box contains the value 66.
