The AlignmentMask member, a DWORD, in the port configuration information structure is used to indicate any alignment restrictions on scatter/gather buffer pointers and byte counts. For example, if an adapter required word alignment for scatter/gather, this variable would be set to 01b, and for doubleword alignment it would be set to 011b.
