Compressed Video

The Windows Media Format SDK can handle the following types of compressed video for input or output:

• MPEG-4 version 1
  
  
• MPEG-4 version 2
  
  
• MPEG-4 version 3

Note   The writer can only write data in MPEG-4-version 3 format, but the reader can read data in MPEG-4-version 1, 2, and 3 formats.
