The IWMDMEnumStorage interface has two purposes. First, it can be used to identify the storage media on a device. Second, it can be used to identify content on those media.
When referring to storage media, this interface is acquired from IWMDMDevice. That is, when accessed from the IWMDMDevice::EnumStorage method, IWMDMEnumStorage enumerates each individual storage medium on the device in the same way that you can enumerate the individual disk drives on a computer.
However, when the interface is accessed from IWMDMStorage::EnumStorage, it refers to the media content.
In addition to the methods inherited from IUnknown, the IWMDMEnumStorage interface exposes the following methods.
Method | Description |
Clone | Creates another enumerator with the same enumeration state as the current enumerator. |
Next | Retrieves a pointer to the next IWMDMStorage or IWMDMDevice interface. |
Reset | Sets the enumeration sequence back to the beginning. |
Skip | Skips over the specified number of storage devices or separate items of content in the enumeration sequence. |
