ASF Script Builder Utility Sample

ASF Script Builder is a sample utility that is used to help create ASF script files. ASF script files are text files that contain information about ASF file properties, such as title, author, and copyright; markers, which can be used as chapter marks or indexes; and script commands, which can be used for URL flips and closed caption text.

A script file, like an HTML file, can be written using a simple text editor. But to do that you have to enter all of the necessary script file syntax and commands. With ASF Script Builder, you can start creating script files immediately, with little knowledge of script file layout. In addition, the graphical user interface helps you work quickly.

After ASF Script Builder creates your script file, you can import the file into Windows Media™ ASF Indexer or Windows Media™ On-Demand Producer, or add the script items directly to an ASF file using the ASFChop command-line utility. Some third-party tools, such as the Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, can also be used to import script files. With ASF Indexer, On-Demand Producer and Sound Forge, markers and script commands are laid out along a graphical timeline, simplifying the task of editing script file parameters.
