Using the ASX Metafile Sample

All the files needed for the ASX Metafile Sample are copied to your computer when the Windows Media Technologies SDK is installed. The default path to the samples is C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\SDK\Samples. To view the ASX Metafile Sample, open Asxdemo.htm in the ASX subdirectory.

Asxdemo.htm contains general information about .asx files, as well as instructions for viewing the ASX Metafile Sample.

Note For best results from the sample, it is recommended that you use Windows Media Player version 6.02 or later. The latest version of Windows Media Player can be downloaded from the Windows Media Technologies page at the Microsoft Web site.
