Using the Windows Media Unicast Controls

The Windows Media Technologies Software Development Kit (SDK) setup program installs and registers the Windows Media Unicast controls and related files. The controls can be added to any Visual Basic or Microsoft® Visual C++® application like any other ActiveX control.

As with any other ActiveX control, you can use the controls of the Windows Media Unicast service directly in HTML pages (with or without VBScript), and in Visual Basic or Visual C++ applications. There are several convenient ways to embed ActiveX controls in HTML pages. You can use Microsoft® ActiveX® Control Pad, Microsoft® Visual InterDev™, or Microsoft® FrontPage®. For more information on using ActiveX controls, see the Component Object Model page at the Microsoft Web site. You can also find additional information and resources listed under More Information and Examples in the Microsoft® Windows Media™ Player Control Software Development Kit.
