Microsoft® Windows Media™ Technologies Solutions Samples demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft® Windows Media™ Services and Microsoft® Windows Media™ Tools technology. These samples are designed to give you the foundation for creating and deploying multimedia applications built on the Windows Media Technologies platform.
The following list describes the solutions samples included in this SDK.

Batch Encode Utility Sample | Automatesthe process of encoding one or more .asf files from a list of .avi or .wav source files, and a list of ASF Stream Descriptor (.asd) files. |
Dynamic HTML Sample | Shows how to integrate ASF content with Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML) pages, and how to use script commands to control the execution of DHTML script events. |
Encoder Scripting Utility Sample | Adds functionality to Windows Media™ Encoder to help you manage long lists of script commands when encoding live content. |
Log Analysis Script Sample | Offers a sample script that you can run to create easy-to-read reports from detailed Windows Media server logs. |
NoteTaker Sample | Shows how to embed a Microsoft® Windows Media™ Player control in a Microsoft® Word document, and shows how an ASF file containing the proper script commands can be used to automatically add text to the document. |
Online Training Sample | Demonstrates one of the many ways in which Windows Media Services can be integrated with existing Web technologies to enhance the Web experience in distance learning applications. |
PERL ParseLog Script Sample | Offers a sample PERL script, which can be used to parse detailed Windows Media server logs into easy-to-read summaries. |

Note The files needed to build and run these samples are all copied to your computer when you install the SDK. The default installation path for these samples is: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\SDK\Samples.
