Append End-of-Line to all Text Files

Set this option to append an end-of-line character whenever VSS retrieves a text file that does not already end with one. Some compilers require that all the files they compile end in an end-of-line character.

To Append End-of-Line to all Text Files:

1. On the VSS Explorer Tools menu, click Options to display the SourceSafe Options dialog box.
   
   
2. Click the Local Files tab.
   
   
3. Select the Append End-of-Line to All Text Files check box.
   
   
4. Click OK.

VSS reads end-of-line characters as follows:

• CR — Macintosh
  
  
• CR/LF — Macintosh/UNIX
  
  
• LF — UNIX
  
  
• RN — Intel center line feed
