Cheryl Lockett Zubak is president of Work WriteTM, a consulting firm that specializes in developing hypertext-based user assistance for the Microsoft Windows and Web environments. A frequent, popular speaker on the design and development of online documents, Cheryl is coauthor of Designing Windows 95 Help: A Guide to Creating Online Documents (Que, 1996) and HTML Help: A Design & Strategy Guide (O'Reilly, forthcoming).
Cheryl began developing online documentation in 1983 (her first documentation project was in fact online help, rather than a printed book), and she has authored numerous help systems and online documents, including those for nationally marketed software and hardware applications. She specialized in developing user assistance that is accurate, content rich, and visually appealing.
In addition to consulting in online documentation design and development, Cheryl provides instruction on a variety of subjects related to Windows help, HTML-based help, and Web authoring tools and design. An experienced instructor in both the corporate and college classroom, Cheryl is a certified instructor in ForeHelp, Hypertext Development Kit (HDK), and RoboHELP, three of the leading Windows help/HTML Help authoring tools. She has earned Master's Degrees in Information Studies and English.
