Retrieves the URL of the previous location.

Syntax

HRESULT get_referrer(
    BSTR *p
);

Parameters

p

Address of a string variable that receives the URL.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.

Remarks

The property returns a value only when the current page has been reached through a link from the previous page. Otherwise, the get_referrer call returns empty; it also returns empty when the link is from a secure site.
