IHTMLFormElement::get_encoding Method


Retrieves the mime-encoding for the form.

Syntax

HRESULT get_encoding(
    BSTR *p
);

Parameters

p
Address of a string (BSTR) that receives the mime-encoding. The default is "application/x-www-form-urlencoded". Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 also recognizes "multipart/form-data", which with a POST method is required to submit a file upload to the server. For details, see the encoding property.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.

Windows CE Use version 2.12 and later
Minimum availability Internet Explorer 4.0

IHTMLFormElement::put_encoding Method


Sets the mime encoding for the form.

Syntax

HRESULT put_encoding(
    BSTR v
);

Parameters

v
