IHTMLRuleStyle::get_clip Method


Retrieves the value of the clip attribute for the element.

Syntax

HRESULT get_clip(
    BSTR *p 
);

Parameters

p
Address of a variable that receives the coordinates of the clipping area. This variable receives NULL if the attribute is not set. For details, see the clip attribute.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.

Windows CE

Windows CE Use version 2.12 and later
Minimum availability Internet Explorer 4.0

IHTMLRuleStyle::put_clip Method


Sets the value of the clip attribute for the element. The attribute determines which part of the element is visible. Any part of the element that is outside the clipping area is transparent.

Syntax

HRESULT put_clip( 
    BSTR v 
);

Parameters

v
String that specifies the coordinates of the clipping area. Each coordinate can be a length value or "auto". Set this parameter to NULL to remove the attribute. For details, see the clip attribute.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.
