IHTMLStyle::get_zIndex Method


Retrieves the value of the zIndex property for the object.

Syntax

HRESULT get_zIndex(
    VARIANT *p 
);

Parameters

p
Address of a variable that receives the zIndex. The variable receives a positive value if the object is positioned above the text, and a negative value if it is below. For details, see the zIndex property. The variable receives NULL if the property is not set.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.

Minimum availability Internet Explorer 4.0

IHTMLStyle::put_zIndex Method


Sets the value of the zIndex property for the object. The attribute determines whether the element is positioned above or below the text.

Syntax

HRESULT put_zIndex(
    VARIANT v 
);

Parameters

v
String or value that specifies the zIndex. A positive value positions the object above the text, and a negative value positions it below. For details, see the zIndex property. Set this parameter to NULL to remove the property.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error code otherwise.
