You can use the FrontPage MMC snap-in to perform the following tasks:
- Install the FrontPage Server Extensions on a Web server.
- Extend a virtual server with the FrontPage Server Extensions.
- Check and fix the FrontPage Server Extensions on a web.
- Upgrade the FrontPage Server Extensions on a web.
- Remove the FrontPage Server Extensions from a web.
- Delete a subweb that you have extended with the FrontPage Server Extensions.
- Convert a subweb into a folder, and vice versa.
- Recalculate all hyperlinks in a web.
- Add an administrator.
- Enable or disable authoring on a web.
- Tune web performance.
- Log authoring operations.
- Require Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for authoring.
- Specify that a folder can contain executable scripts or programs.
- Enable source control.
- Set e-mail options.
You cannot perform the following tasks by using the FrontPage MMC snap-in:
- Administer the FrontPage Server Extensions from a remote computer (use the Fpremadm utility instead).
- Perform command-line scripting (use the Fpsrvadm utility instead).
