Automatically create a shortcut to an Access database or Access project in the Favorites folder

The Favorites folder stores shortcuts to Microsoft Access databases, Microsoft Access projects, folders, and other files you use frequently, including those in remote locations, so that you don't have to search for the files each time. The original file or folder doesn't move.

  1. Click Open on the toolbar.

  2. To create a shortcut to a folder, subfolder, Access database, or Access project that appears in the list under the Look In box, select the file or folder, click Tools, and then click Add To Favorites.

Tip   To quickly open the Favorites folder after you start Microsoft Access, in the Open dialog box, click Favorites . To open a favorite file or folder, click the shortcut, and then click Open.
