Designate a global menu bar for your Access database or Access project
By using your own global menu bar, you control what tasks users can perform in your Microsoft Access database or Microsoft Access project by limiting and customizing the menus and commands that are available. The global menu bar replaces the built-in menu bar for all Microsoft Access windows, except where you've added a custom menu bar for a form or report.
- On the Tools menu, click Startup.
- In the Menu Bar box, click the name of a custom menu bar from the current Access database or Access project, or click (Default) to display the built-in menu bar.
Notes
- Changes to this setting in the Startup dialog box won't take effect until the next time the Access database or Access project is opened.
- Even if you designate a global menu bar, the built-in menu bar may still be accessible. For more information, click .
- You can designate or change the global menu bar in a Visual Basic for Applications procedure by setting the MenuBar property of the Application object. For more information about the MenuBar property, click .
