Draw a rectangle on a form, report, or data access page

Draw a rectangle on a form, report, or data access page

  1. Open a form in Design view, a report in Design view, or a data access page in Design view.

  2. Click the Rectangle tool Rectangle control in the toolbox.

  3. Click anywhere on the form, report, or data access page to create a default-sized rectangle, or drag to create a rectangle that's the size you want.

Note   To change the thickness of a rectangle's border, click the rectangle, click the arrow next to the Line/Border Width button on the Forms/Reports Formatting toolbar or the Data Access Page Formatting toolbar and then click the thickness that you want. To change the line style (dashes, double, and so on) of a rectangle in forms and reports, click the rectangle, click Properties on the toolbar to open the property sheet, and then click a border style in the BorderStyle property box. In data access pages, the rectangle tool can only have a solid line style.
