Prevent or allow changing specific toolbars, menu bars, or shortcut menus

"Changing" in this instance means adding, moving, removing, or setting properties for buttons, commands, or menus.

1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
   
   
2. On the Toolbars tab, click Properties.
   
   
3. In the Selected Toolbar box, select the name of the toolbar, menu bar, or custom shortcut menu you want to set properties for.
   
   
4. Select or clear the Allow Customizing box.

Note   Once you've finished setting properties for all the toolbars, menu bars, and shortcut menus, you can prevent users from accessing the Customize dialog box and changing the settings. For more information, click .
