Prevent or allow showing and hiding specific toolbars or menu bars

1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
   
   
2. On the Toolbars tab, click Properties.
   
   
3. In the Selected Toolbar box, select the name of the toolbar or menu bar you want to set properties for.
   
   
4. Select or clear the Allow Showing/Hiding box.

• You can hide all built-in toolbars automatically to prevent users from working with them. For more information, click .
  
  
• If you clear this option, make sure the Show On Toolbars Menu box is also cleared; otherwise the toolbar or menu bar will appear on the menu, but you won't be able to select it.
