Set properties for a form, report, section, or control
- Open a form in Design view or a report in Design view. If the AllowDesignChanges property of a form is set to All Views, you can also set properties in Form view and Datasheet view.
- Do one of the following:
- To set properties for a form or report, double-click the form selector or the report selector to open the property sheet for the form or report.
- To set properties for a section on a form or report, double-click the section selector to open the property sheet for the section.
- To set properties for a control, make sure the control is selected, and then click Properties on the toolbar. You can also double-click a control to open its property sheet.
- In the property sheet, click the property you want to set, and then do one of the following:
- If an arrow appears in the property box, click it and then select a value from the list.
- Type a setting or expression in the property box.
- If a Build button appears next to the property box, click it to display a builder or to display a dialog box giving you a choice of builders. For example, you can use the Query Builder to change the design of an underlying query for a form or report.
- If you need more space to enter or edit a property setting, press SHIFT+F2 (or right-click and then click Zoom) to open the Zoom box.
If the property sheet is blank or if you don't see the properties you expect in the property sheet, click .
