Share an Access database when a network server doesn't exist

Share an Access database when a network server doesn't exist

  1. Copy the Microsoft Access database to a shared folder. (For information on sharing folders, use the Microsoft Windows Help Index.)

  2. Make sure the Access database is set to open in shared mode, which is the default setting.

    How?

Note   To access the shared Access database from another computer, you must have one of following on the other computer: a local installation of Microsoft Access, a network installation of Microsoft Access (licensed on a per-user basis), or a run-time application. You can obtain a royalty-free license to install your run-time application on each computer when you purchase Microsoft Office 2000 Developer (MOD).
